Rules / Regulations for Indian Association for Geriatric Mental Awards

(1) IAGMH / INTAS AWARD

(1.1) This Award signifies the association between a pharma house and a professional body in terms of highlighting clinical, research and academic activities and achievements. There will be 3 (Ist, IInd and IIIrd) awards. Only original research papers in the field of Geriatric Mental Health will be considered. The award will consist of a plaque, a certificate and Rs.25,000, Rs.15,000 and Rs.10,000 respectively for the Ist, IInd and IIIrd award. The winners of the award will also be given a travel grant to support the travel and stay. The travel grant will be in addition to the award money.

(1.2) Eligibility Criteria: Only members of IAGMH are eligible for this award. Of all Authors, the Principal Author and at least 2/3 of the Authors should be the members of IAGMH.

(1.3) Time Limits: 10 copies of the award paper should reach chairperson of the award committee every year by 31st May of the particular year. The awards will be announced two months prior to the date of the annual conference.

(1.4) Selection Criteria: The award papers will be evaluated by the members of the awards committee in an objective manner in the following areas. 1-Relevance of the work in the field of Geriatric Mental Health at State/National level. 2-Hypothesis and conceptualization of the work. 3-Relevance of the objectives for the work. 4-Methodology 5-Observations, results, discussions, format of the data presentation and communicability of the paper. The total score will be 50 and each section will be assigned 10 points.

(1.5) The Winners: The Ist, IInd & IIIrd Award Winners will be decided as per highest, in between and lowest points scored respectively.

(1.6) Award Presentation: The award will be given the same year during the annual national meet of the Indian Association for Geriatric Mental Health during the inauguration. - The Award Papers will be presented by the winners the same year during the award session.

(2) IAGMH ANNUAL AWARD

(2.1) Eligibility: Only members of the IAGMH are eligible to apply. - Age limit will be 45 years. - The principal author and at least 2/3 of the authors should be the member of IAGMH. - The paper should be original research in the field of Geriatric Mental Health.

(2.2) The Award: The award will consist of a plaque and a certificate. The principal author or it's representative will be provided travel grant (IInd AC by rail) to support his travel and stay in the conference.

(2.3) Time Limits: 10 copies of the award paper should reach chair person of the award committee every year by 31st May of that particular year. The awards will be announced two months prior to the date of the annual conference.

(2.4) Selection Criteria

(2.4 A.)Evaluation: Same as para (1.4) of IAGMH / INTAS Award.

(2.4 B.) Presentation: There will be presentation of the best three papers selected on the basis of evaluation during the Annual National Meet of the IAGMH the same year. 20 marks are allotted for presentation of the paper. The members of the Award committee will give the marks.

(2.5) The Winners: The winner will be decided based on the maximum marks obtained out of the 50 marks of evaluation and 20 marks of the presentation.

(2.6) Award Presentation: The awards will be given to the winner during the next year's Annual National meet of the Indian Association for Geriatric Mental Health during the inaugural ceremony to the winners.
