GUIDELINES FOR SCIENTIFIC
PRESENTATIONS
Eligibility Criteria
- The presenting author should be a member of the National Association of
Interlocking Surgeons with "No Pending Dues".
- Must have registered for the NAILSCON 2008 at
the time of Submission of Abstract (before 31st July 2008 ).

Abstracts submitted in the proper format along with necessary supporting
documents only, will be accepted for evaluation. 31st July, 2008 shall be
the last date for receipt of the Abstracts by the Secretariat and not for
mailing by member.
Members have to clearly state whether their paper can be considered for
poster presentation, in case it is not accepted for platform presentation.
The delegates should send their scientific material clearly marked for (1)
Free Paper - Oral Presentation (2) Golden Nail Award Paper (3) Poster

and separately in five (5) copies to the conference secretariat. Please send Abstract by e-mail in MS WORD
FORMAT only. It is advised to send the abstract online from the link mentioned
above.
Instructions for Platform presentation

Only
one Paper will be accepted from Registered delegate only.

The
time allotted to Free papers – 6 minutes + 2 minutes
discussion.

Golden
Nail Best Paper Award - Only 6 papers will be accepted for
this award presentations. Time allotted to this session is 8
minutes + 2 minutes discussion. (The inovative, informative,
published, result oriented paper will be preferred.)

Free
Papers - Please make sure the paper is informative and
result oriented. In the abstract, clearly state the "Take Home Message".
Aims, Observation, Result and Conclusion are also mandatory. Abstract
should be specific and not vague. Statements like "Result Will be
discussed" are not accepted in a National Conference. Abstracts sent in
any format other than the one prescribed (Aim, Materials, Methods, Result and
Conclusion) and abstract sent by fax will be not accepted.

The
scientific committee reserves the rights to accept or reject,
modify any or all papers. It also reserves the right to cancel
the accepted paper at last minute.

If
not found fit for oral presentation, the paper may be accepted
for poster presentation

All
the correspondence regarding free papers will be strictly done
by e-mail, hence all the presenters must give their active
e-mail ids and mobile number.

The
presentation will be in PowerPoint format (ppt) only. (Manual
slides will not be accepted). Facility
for video presentation in AVI/ MPEG/ MPEG-2 / WMV will be
provided.

No
personal Laptop will be allowed for presentation.

Self equipped preview room will be provided for loading the presentation on
Laptops of the conference.

Upon
acceptance, the presenter should send his/her power point presentation of the
paper on or before August 31, 2008 to the Secretariat.

The
allotted time, day and date for the presentation shall not
change under any circumstances.
Instructions for Poster presentation
The Presenter must be present during the allotted time for presentation.
Posters shall be on display only on the days specified . Judging will also be
done at that time . Members submitting poster should clearly title
on the form and inform the Conference Secretariat by 31st July, 2008.
An area of 3ft x 4 ft. portrait layout shall be provided for each poster. Poster
should be prepared in English and should be headed with title , name of
author(s), institution and place. Aims and objective of the study, the result
achieved and conclusion(s) should be included in the poster.
Charts, Drawings and Illustrations must have self-explanatory titles.
In order to be legible from a distance of 2 meters, the letters should be at
least 10mm tall and lines should have a striking contrast.
Poster should be made of lightweight material so that they can be mounted
easily on poster board. it is advisable for author(s) to bring their own
material of choice to fix the poster.
Best
Poster may be allowed to present if time permits.
